Job summary

Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah, GA is seeking a full-time line cook to ensure proper service from the front line through quality control and training of line cooks. You will help maintain sanitation levels and support the culinary team.

Responsibilities include following recipes, managing mise en place, and ensuring food is prepared to standard while preventing waste and shortages. Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related kitchen experience.
• Knowledge of cooking and kitchen practices.

Responsibilities

• Check items against recipes and ensure proper use records and quality presentation.
• Monitor line setup for maximum efficiency during meal periods.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and SOP adherence.
• Prepare food to consistent quality following recipes and portion standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time and avoid over-preparation.
• Date and rotate perishables per SOP and maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items or shortages.
• Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return unused food to storage with date and coverage.
