Job summary

The Crescent Hotels Group is seeking a dedicated kitchen prep team member to prepare food items in line with production requirements and quality standards. You will help maintain a safe, sanitary work environment while supporting service staff and fellow team members.

Responsibilities include following recipes, rotating perishables, monitoring temperatures, and assisting in cost-control and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be a team player and help co-workers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start and portion pre-prepared items without over- or under- preparing.
• Rotate and date perishables; maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars, plan preparation, and assist with buffet stocking.
• Return unused items to storage and cover perishables.
• Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste per Crescent standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, stoves, ovens, and steam tables.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
