Job summary

Wally’s Wine & Spirits in Malibu, CA is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and cook items across stations with consistency, speed and attention to plating, while maintaining a clean, stocked station and adhering to FIFO and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year line cook experience, knowledge of kitchen operations, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced premium hospitality environment known for exceptional food

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of line cook experience.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, equipment, prep methods and service flow.
• Ability to work multiple stations including garde manger, pizza, fry, sauté or meat.
• Strong focus on quality, timing, plating and food safety.
• Team player with clear communication and positive attitude.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays and high-volume periods.
• Physical ability to stand long hours and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with consistency, quality and care across stations.
• Execute dishes during service with precise timing and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized and stocked station to support operations.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage and FIFO procedures.
• Communicate clearly with chefs and teammates to ensure seamless service.
• Assist opening, closing, prep, portioning and station setup.
• Contribute to a collaborative kitchen culture and help teammates when needed.
