Job summary

Steelhead Bar & Grille in downtown Spokane is seeking part-time cooks with at least 1 year of cooking experience. Hours range from 18 to 30 per week, with weekly tips and a Northwest-inspired menu.

We value a professional, friendly team player who can multitask, stand for long periods, lift 50+ pounds, and follow food safety rules. Ability to work weekends is preferred; WSFWC card is preferred.

Qualifications

• Washington State Food Worker Card (WSFWC) required.
• Two years cooking experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Flexible schedule with weekend work.
• Ability to multitask efficiently.
• Familiar with kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Strong work ethic, reliable and detail oriented.
• Team player with courteous, professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies and procedures
• On time and attend all meetings
• Stock and set up kitchen stations
• Ensure that all food products and menu items meet company recipe specifications for preparation, quality and preparation
• Work with front of house staff to ensure that orders are completed according to food & service standards and on time
• Complete all assigned opening, running, closing duties and side work
• Ensure sanitation and food safety procedures, regulations and laws are strictly followed
• Ensure a safe working environment to reduce the risk of incident, injury and food handling related issues
