Job summary

Plantation Golf and Country Club is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team in a part-time role with room for growth. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen and a passion for the culinary arts. You will create daily specials and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting the Executive Chef. Flexible Sundays/Mondays and potential night/weekend/holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience in a high-volume professional kitchen.
• Team player with a positive attitude and passion for the culinary arts.
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Knowledge of and adherence to sanitation practices and procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills for accurate and timely work.
• Effective communication with colleagues and managers.
• Creativity in food preparation is highly encouraged.
• Ability to work at various banquet stations when required (omelet station, carving station, sauté station, etc.)
• High school level education or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes, considering special dietary needs and nutritional requirements.
• Consistently prepare menu items to the highest standards.
• Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance, including uniform care.
• Create daily lunch and dinner specials in line with club standards.
• Embrace a flexible schedule, including working Sundays and Mondays.
• Availability to work nights, (few late-night shifts, typically ending around 9:30-10:00 p.m.) weekends, and holidays.
• Assist the Executive Chef as directed and assume additional responsibilities.
