Job summary

Brickell Arch, a Luxury Collection Hotel is seeking an industrious kitchen teammate to prepare food of consistent quality and assist in daily kitchen functions. You will follow recipe cards, date and rotate perishables, and help maintain cost controls while keeping equipment clean and safe.

Responsibilities include starting prep items, stocking the line, and supporting servers with timely meal service. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential in this busy hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate food machinery with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, avoiding over-preparation.
• Date and rotate perishables; keep items at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use; note shortages and out-of-stock items.
• Assist in setting up plans to control food costs and waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
