Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a professional line cook to join our oceanfront kitchen team. You will set up the work area, prep and cook using standardized recipes, and ensure timely dining room service while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

The role requires at least three years of upscale, high-volume cooking experience, strong knowledge of food sanitation, and the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three+ years cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or restaurant.
• Certification as Cook from a recognized culinary program.
• Knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set up and organize work area with all necessary supplies and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, rotate all food products to ensure fresh, high quality ingredients.
• Prepare and store raw food products properly.
• Follow standardized recipes and cooking procedures.
• Adhere to portion controls and minimize waste.
• Plate foods according to established guidelines; ensure timely service.
• Monitor finished product and communicate delays to supervisor.
• Follow Governmental Food Sanitation Standards at all times.
• Operate knives, mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely.
