Job summary

Miskiri Hospitality Group is seeking a line cook to own a station on our line in Silver Spring, MD. You will prep, cook, and plate to spec, keep your station clean and stocked, and communicate with the line to ensure tickets go out hot and on time.

You will set up, stock, and break down your station, execute dishes with precision, and rotate product safely. A food handler's card is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in a professional kitchen or strong prep experience.
• Solid knife skills and familiarity with common cooking methods.
• Able to work fast, stay organized under pressure, and maintain quality.
• Food handler's card required or obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock, and break down your assigned station each shift.
• Execute dishes to recipe and plating standards, consistently and at speed.
• Complete daily prep lists and label, date, and rotate product (FIFO).
• Call and respond during service; work in sync with the expo and other stations.
• Hold food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper holding temps and cooling procedures.
• Keep equipment clean and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries; check product quality and quantities.
• Help control waste and portion costs.
• Pitch in on other stations and with closing duties as needed.
