Job summary

Hard Rock Cafe in Washington, DC is seeking a Line Cook to join our energetic kitchen team. You will prepare and cook menu items to spec, label and store items correctly, and support both prep and line stations. A strong sense of urgency, safety, and sanitation are essential.

You will read orders from tickets or Kitchen Display System, maintain a clean station, and help with opening/closing duties. Experience is preferred; we train around busy nights and large parties.

Responsibilities

• Make prep recipes and cook menu items to spec.
• Receive and order product as needed.
• Label, date, cover and refrigerate prepped items for the line.
• Perform opening, closing and side duties for equipment and prep areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, line, expo, dish areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Read order tickets or Kitchen Display System and assemble orders.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and accuracy in line work.
• Assist with special preps and large party/voucher procedures.
