Job summary

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, Averill Hospitality resort, is seeking a Line-Cook to support our food and beverage team. Earn $21-$25 hourly depending on experience, with perks including $50 room rates at Averill properties and discounts at our spa, restaurant, and retail outlets.

As a line cook, you will stock and set up stations, prepare items from basic components to sauces, and ensure food safety and kitchen cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a restaurant or related field.
• Preference for a previous cooking experience.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Strong team player with a hospitality first mindset.
• Desire to provide phenomenal guest experiences, a passion for quality, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local/state food handling laws and procedures.
• Ability to work with a team of culinary professionals.

Responsibilities

• Stock and set up kitchen stations.
• Prepare food by cutting, chopping, mixing, and making sauces.
• Cook items by grilling, sautéing, and other methods per recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food sanitation requirements.
• Plate foods as guided by senior chefs.
• Work with servers to fulfill orders on time.
• Keep equipment in good condition and follow maintenance programs.
• Wash and clean kitchen and equipment at shift end.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
