Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Lanai seeks a Cook 1 to join our oceanfront property. You’ll independently manage a station, execute menus to standard recipes, and uphold high quality, sanitation and safety standards in a vibrant luxury kitchen.

You’ll work with a skilled team, support junior cooks, and ensure efficient service by maintaining mise en place and proper equipment operations. This role requires Hawaii work authorization and on‑island availability.

Qualifications

• Legal work authorization in United States.
• TB clearance card required by Hawaii DOH.
• Hawaii Food Handler’s Card and ServSafe required.
• Proficient knife skills and ability to multi‑task.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned kitchen station and prepare items per standardized recipes.
• Maintain mise en place, monitor quality, taste, temperature and plating.
• Guide and support junior cooks to maintain a high‑performing kitchen.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and food cost initiatives.
• Uphold HACCP and sanitation standards in a compliant kitchen.
