Job summary

Grand Casino Mille Lacs & Hinckley is seeking a Cook I to support daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure quality and safety in a fast‑paced environment. Training will be provided, with opportunities to learn recipes, techniques, and kitchen workflow.

Applicants should be ready to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and must pursue or maintain ServSafe and a GRA license as required.

Qualifications

• No prior kitchen experience required; training will be provided.
• ServSafe Certification preferred (or obtained within 1 year).
• Must secure and maintain a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference exercised in hiring.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Set up, stock, and maintain workstations for service readiness.
• Assist with grilling, frying, roasting, baking, and other cooking tasks.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and follow food-safety regulations.
• Communicate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Support daily kitchen production across outlets as needed.
