Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Kitchen/Line Cook for The Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village, located between Disney World and Universal Studios. You will prepare high-quality dishes, rotate perishables, and support kitchen operations in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Hotel experience is preferred, with emphasis on dexterity and clear communication. Responsibilities include following recipes, managing prep, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in cost control.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing.
• Rotate perishables and maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift and keep buffet stocked; note shortages.
• Return unused items to storage with cover dates.
• Assist in controlling food costs and reducing waste.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment (fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, etc.).
• Adhere to attendance and work schedule; perform other duties as assigned.
