Midwood Smokehouse is seeking an experienced Line Cook for the Ballantyne - Toringdon Circle location in Charlotte, NC. You will contribute to a high-volume, scratch-kitchen environment focused on authentic barbecue.

Responsibilities include producing barbecue dishes from scratch, smoking a variety of meats, and maintaining quality and consistency. The role offers competitive hourly pay up to $19, with Friday–Sunday availability and opportunities for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Has at least two years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, if needed.
• Willingness to work weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create barbecue dishes from scratch following recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Master and adhere to standard barbecue cooking methods and kitchen practices.
• Smoke a variety of meats using hardwood smokers and cook other items on flat-top grill and fryers.
• Portion all products accurately and ensure plate presentation reflects authenticity.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow sanitation guidelines.
