Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group Career Center in Daly City, CA, is hiring hourly kitchen staff for Outback Steakhouse. You will prep diverse menu items quickly, maintain clean work areas, and support a safe, efficient kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• California Beverage Service Certifications required (can be completed during training within 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of food items.
• Kitchen lineup includes Line Cook, Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill and Make Up, plus Kitchen Prep Cooks.
• Maintain equipment and keep the kitchen clean.
• Work as a team to meet standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
• Prepare food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe standards.
• Restock the kitchen and cook line as needed.
• Commit to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.
