Out West Restaurant Group Career Center is seeking candidates for a kitchen role with Outback Steakhouse partner locations in California. You will join a team focused on timely food preparation and delivering a great guest experience.

As an hourly, non-exempt employee, you’ll work across stations, follow safety standards, and contribute to a culture of hospitality. This opportunity includes benefits and growth potential within the Outback family.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Walk and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of food items. We have a diverse menu that requires speed and accurate preparation.
• Our Kitchen is well designed with large working areas. We have Line Cook positions in Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill and Make Up, along with Kitchen Prep Cooks.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment and the cleanliness of your surroundings in the kitchen.
• Working as a team to achieve standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
• Prepares food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe standards.
• Restocks kitchen and cook line as needed.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise. Teamwork is essential and expected of all Outbackers.
