Job summary

King's Fish House in California is seeking line cooks to deliver consistent, timely plates and uphold recipe standards. As a line cook, you will execute multiple tickets, focus on preparation, plate presentation and timeliness.

You will be trained across Grill, Sauté, Pantry, and Fry stations and evaluated on recipes, procedures, and quality components. Training includes guest standards and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 1 year experience as a restaurant cook.
• High school graduate.
• Food handlers Card
• Ability to communicate verbal and written English with Guests and staff.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and menu items.
• Knowledge of proper equipment maintenance and usage.
• Ability to read and comprehend food orders.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Prepare food items for meal periods and next service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service areas.
• Cook for scheduled meal periods.
• Follow supervisor instructions.
• Alert Chef to deficiencies and notify management of shift activities.
