Job summary

Rivalries in Maine is seeking a reliable line cook to join our busy kitchen team. You should be capable of working during peak weekend hours and be comfortable with fast-paced, high-volume cooking while preparing classic pub favorites.

The ideal candidate has 1–2+ years of line cook experience and a strong work ethic. Training is available for motivated individuals willing to learn and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of professional kitchen or line cook experience, preferably in a sports bar, grill, or high-volume casual dining setting.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays; weekend availability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to Rivalries standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the line during service.

Job description

Rivalries is the area's go-to spot for great food, cold drinks, and big games. We are a high-energy, casual sports bar and grill looking for a reliable, hard-working Line Cook to join our kitchen crew going into our busiest season. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in cooking up classic pub favorites the right way every time, we want you on our team!

Our biggest need currently is on weekends, so any candidate must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays, but even one of those days would help.

Ideally we're looking for someone with 1–2+ years of professional kitchen or line cook experience (sports bar, grill, or high-volume casual dining preferred), but will train anyone with a good work ethic and willing to learn.

Must have the ability to stand for long shifts (8+ hours), lift up to 40 lbs., be punctual, dependable, and comfortable working evening and weekend shifts (when the games are on!).

Pay range is $20-25/hr depending on experience.
