Art & Jake's Sports Bar in Sterling Heights, MI, is a high-volume sports bar and grill seeking capable kitchen staff to join our fast-paced team.

You will set up cook stations, prepare and cook items to recipes, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety while working weekends and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up cook stations and stock prep supplies.
• Prepare food on the line: cut, mix, chop, and sauce.
• Cook items on the line by grilling, frying, sautéing, broiling to recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene per state/local regulations.
• Handle and store food safely.
• Take inventory before/after shifts; complete inventory sheets.
• Work on weekends, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Summary

Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cook stations and stocking them with the necessary prep supplies
• Preparing food on the line, as needed, by cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces
• Cooking items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, sauteing, and broiling to quality guidelines and standardized recipes
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards (like creating and following a restaurant cleaning checklist) that comply with state and local food safety and sanitation regulations
• Handling and storing food safely and properly
• Takes inventory counts before and after shifts, completes food inventory or storage sheets
• Ability to work on weekends, stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds
