Job summary

Art & Jake's Sports Bar in Utica, MI is seeking a motivated kitchen team member responsible for setting up cook stations, preparing and cooking food, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace to support a high-volume service.

You will stock prep areas, follow recipes, assist with inventory, and work weekends as part of a fast-paced team committed to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cook stations and stocking them with the necessary prep supplies.
• Preparing food on the line, by cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces.
• Cooking items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, sauteing, and broiling to recipes.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards per state and local regulations.
• Handling and storing food safely and properly.
• Taking inventory counts before and after shifts and completing storage sheets.
• Ability to work on weekends, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary

Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cook stations and stocking them with the necessary prep supplies
• Preparing food on the line, as needed, by cutting, mixing, chopping, and making sauces
• Cooking items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, sauteing, and broiling to quality guidelines and standardized recipes
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards (like creating and following a restaurant cleaning checklist) that comply with state and local food safety and sanitation regulations
• Handling and storing food safely and properly
• Takes inventory counts before and after shifts, completes food inventory or storage sheets
• Ability to work on weekends, stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds
