Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking talented cooks to join our back-of-house team in Florida. You will prepare menu items according to our recipe manual, maintain proper stock and par levels, and ensure daily kitchen safety and cleanliness.

The role requires readability of recipes and labels, and the ability to communicate clearly with managers and staff. The position involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Able to stand 100% of shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to read recipes and food labels; speak/read/write English.
• Complete and pass food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Prepares menu items according to Flanigan’s company recipe manual and plate presentation.
• Ensures rotation of all products and stocks products to par level to prevent kitchen disruption.
• Helps complete assigned prep work, to stock and set up stations as necessary.
• Transports items to and from kitchen and assists Vendor unload deliveries.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen area throughout shift; breaks down and cleans all stations at closing.
• Communicates ticket times, ensures smooth flow from kitchen to guests, reports issues to Manager on duty.
• Operates kitchen machinery safely (Open Flame Grill, Stove, Slicer, etc).
• Works safely with hot plates, pots, pans and sharp knives; able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
