Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking talented cooks to join our back-of-house team in Florida. You’ll prepare from-scratch dishes per the recipe manual, maintain spotless stations, and ensure timely food flow to guests while upholding safety standards.

The role requires flexible shifts, physical endurance, and ability to read recipes, orders, and labels. Training and progression opportunities exist within a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Able to work flexible shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Read recipes and food labels.
• Read POS ticket orders.
• Communicate ticket times and ensure food flow from kitchen to guests.
• Able to safely use kitchen machinery (Open Flame Grill, Stove, Slicer).
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans.
• Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Work in high temperature, damp environment.
• Pass food safety certification in line with Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Prepares menu items according to Flanigan’s company recipe manual and plate presentation.
• Ensures rotation of all products and stocks products to par level.
• Helps complete assigned prep work and stocks stations.
• Transports items to and from kitchen; assists vendor unload deliveries.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen area throughout shift.
• Breaks down and cleans all stations at closing.
