Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking a dedicated cook to join our back-of-house team in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare dishes from scratch, follow our recipe manual, and ensure proper plate presentation for guests.

The role requires flexibility for nights and weekends, the ability to stand for long periods, and safe handling of kitchen equipment. Benefits include health insurance, vacation time, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends or holidays.
• Able to stand/walk for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs multiple times.
• Able to read recipes, labels and POS orders and communicate ticket times.
• English reading/writing skills required; safety training and food safety certification expected.
• Must safely operate kitchen equipment such as grills, stoves and slicers.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Prepares menu items according to recipe manual and plate presentation.
• Maintains product rotation and par levels to keep the kitchen stocked.
• Completes assigned prep work and sets up stations as needed.
• Transports items, unloads deliveries and assists vendors as required.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen area during the shift.
• Breaks down and cleans all stations at closing.
