Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking talented cooks to join our back-of-house team in New York. This role focuses on accurately preparing a wide range of dishes, maintaining high safety and sanitation standards, and supporting prep work and station setup. Strong English literacy, the ability to read recipes and POS orders, and physical stamina are required.

Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen is a plus. We offer a five-day work week with multiple consecutive days off, paid vacation after milestones,

Qualifications

• Able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand/walk 100% of shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read recipes and food labels and read POS ticket orders.
• Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and maintain clean workstations.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Prepare menu items according to recipe manual and plate presentation.
• Rotate and stock products to par level to avoid disruption.
• Assist prep work and station setup as needed.
• Transport items and assist with deliveries.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness during and after shifts.
• Break down and clean all stations at closing.
