Qualifications

• High school education plus schooling in culinary arts or related major.
• One or more years of related experience.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe and sanitary storage, preparation and cooking; monitor and maintain sanitation of the kitchen and equipment; follow safety protocols.
• Recognize and apply quality standards for meats, vegetables, dairy and grains; manage leftovers and waste.
• Properly season and prepare a range of foods; be aware of common allergens and substitutes.
• Cook using methods including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling and baking.
• Prepare from-scratch menu items for buffet and plated meals; follow Banquet Event Orders and recipes.
