Hotel Equities is seeking an AM Line Cook for Hilton Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA. The role involves preparing items for all outlets, maintaining line stations, following plating standards, and supporting night-time prep as needed.

You will work with various kitchen equipment, ensure sanitation, and handle product rotation. The job requires flexibility in schedule and a background in culinary arts or related experience.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of the fundamentals of cooking.
• Must have basic knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
• Must have knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles).
• Basic mathematical skills needed to understand recipes and portion sizes.
• Ability to read and write English to read recipes and communicate with others.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to use knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work duties across extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking in kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sufficient food levels at line stations to ensure smooth service.
• Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.
• Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak hours.
• Close station properly and complete closing checklist.
• May work varying schedules to reflect hotel business needs.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products.
