Job summary

Camelback Resort in the Pocono region is looking for energetic Cooks to join our Food & Beverage team. We will hire Prep Cooks and Line Cooks to work on grills, ovens, fryers, or food prep stations, following recipes and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role emphasizes teamwork, consistency, and quality. You will set up equipment, manage multiple orders, and contribute to a positive guest experience while developing cooking skills and knowledge of menu items.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior restaurant cooking experience required.
• Basic cooking skills, including knife handling.
• Basic math skills for adjusting recipe quantities.
• Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Strong listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must be able to speak and read English; additional languages a plus.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items including chopping vegetables and assembling salads.
• Set up and prepare ovens, grills, and utensils for each shift.
• Follow designated cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality of menu items.
• Receive and prepare orders from wait staff or computerized systems.
• Cook food in accordance with food health and safety standards.
• Manage multiple food orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Properly handle, store, and rotate food products.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of kitchen areas, walk-in coolers, and storage spaces.
• Continuously develop cooking skills and expand knowledge of food products and techniques.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests.
