Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises is seeking talented cooks to join our back-of-house team in a fast-paced kitchen. You will accurately prepare dishes to Flanigan’s standards while maintaining safety and sanitation policies.

Responsibilities include prep, station setup, product rotation, and helping unload deliveries. The role requires reading recipes, communicating effectively, and working with standard kitchen equipment in a bustling environment.

Qualifications

• Flexible shift schedule including nights, weekends, or holidays.
• Stand/walk for the full shift.
• Able to read recipes and food labels.
• Able to read POS ticket orders.
• Communicates ticket times and manages food flow from kitchen to guests.
• Safely use kitchen machinery (grills, stove, slicer).
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans.
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils.
• Lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift.
• Complete and pass a food safety certification program.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Prepares menu items according to Flanigan’s recipe manual and plate presentation.
• Ensures rotation of products and stocks to par levels.
• Assists with prep work and station setup.
• Transports items to and from kitchen and helps unload deliveries.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen area during shift.
• Breaks down and cleans all stations at closing.
