Job summary

Hemenways in Providence, RI is seeking a Line Cook to prepare soups, meats, vegetables and desserts to order, following recipes and plating standards. The role supports a high-volume kitchen and contributes to a fresh, seafood-forward dining experience.

Qualifications

• Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Prior cooking experience is a plus but not required.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use
• Prepares meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
• Prepares food products as determined by recipe, technique and procedure
