Job summary

Graziano’s Group is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member to join our hospitality team. You will set up stations, prepare diverse foods, handle sauces and garnishes, and ensure proper storage and cleanliness. The role requires quick, efficient work, strong teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.

You’ll work under the Kitchen Manager to maintain a sanitary, organized kitchen and support service during peak periods with reliability and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and workplace safety regulations.
• Basic understanding of food handling, preparation, and cooking procedures.
• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team, and under pressure.
• Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and collect supplies to prepare menu for service.
• Prepare a variety of foods: meat, seafood, poultry, vegetables and cold items.
• Arrange sauces and garnishes for the allocated station.
• Cover, date, and store all prep items properly.
• Notify Chef in advance of shortages.
• Serve menu items in line with established standards.
• Use food prep tools according to manufacturers' instructions.
• Close the kitchen correctly and follow closing checklists.
• Maintain a sanitary work area at all times.
• Keep the work area fresh throughout the shift.
• Ensure storage areas are tidy and items stored correctly.
• Follow safe and hygienic food handling practices.
• Return dirty utensils to appropriate areas.
• Assist with duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager.
