Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook at THE FATIMA HOUSE for full-time, on-site work with mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. You will prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items, following Sodexo standards for quality, safety, and presentation.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining a clean workstation, and contributing to team efforts in a fast-paced kitchen. High school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving items.
• Estimate food requirements, check production, and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shift.
