Job summary

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in Surprise, AZ is seeking a talented Line Cook to lead daily kitchen operations, coordinate food prep, and ensure dishes meet the highest standards. You will set up stations, use grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and baking techniques, and collaborate with the team to maintain quality and timely service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper storage and hygiene.
• Efficient time management in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and presentation.
• Strong teamwork and communication with kitchen and FOH.
• Stamina to stand long hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Willingness to learn POS systems (Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock your assigned station before each shift.
• Employ grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and baking techniques.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, ingredients, portions and presentation.
• Follow proper food safety, storage and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of orders.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain smooth service.
• Inspect items for quality and freshness; address issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory and report shortages to kitchen management.
• Keep work area clean and organized; assist with other duties.
