Job summary

Sodexo in Gallatin, TN is seeking a Line Cook to join our team on a full-time, weekday-morning schedule. You will prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold items in line with Sodexo’s culinary standards, in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You’ll work with a safety-focused team, maintain a clean workstation, follow recipes, monitor inventory, and assist in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following current standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for cooking and serving.
• Estimate food requirements, check production, and requisition supplies.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; up to 35 pounds frequently.
