Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Line Cook in the United States to join a fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items across meal periods and events, following Sodexo culinary standards for quality and safety.

The role requires reliable, efficient performance and teamwork in a busy environment. You’ll work weekdays with morning and afternoon/evening shifts, with responsibilities including safe food handling, recipe adherence, and maintaining a clean workstation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service.
• Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving diverse foods.
• Taste products, estimate requirements, check production, and plan supplies accordingly.
• Significant walking or mobility required during shifts.
• Walk or stand for extended periods, potentially beyond 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and perform other duties as needed.
