Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Line Cook at the Vermont State University Lyndon campus. You will prepare and present hot and cold foods for all meals and events, following Sodexo culinary standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork, with shifts that vary and a competitive hourly pay of $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. Full-time employment and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold food items for all meal periods and events.
• Follow Sodexo culinary standards for quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ensure all food products are prepared safely, accurately, and efficiently with focus on safety and sanitation.
