City Winery Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team as we reimagine live music, dining, and wine experiences. You will prepare and cook dishes to our recipes with precision in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires knife skills, teamwork, and flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. You will help maintain safety, quality, and presentation as part of a collaborative culinary team in our unique winery setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Line Cook in full-service, high-volume kitchen or food service environment.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking.
• Ability to follow recipes and comply with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork with a customer-focused approach.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce a variety of high-quality dishes as per guest orders, following approved recipes and specifications.
• Perform work on different kitchen line stations as per business demands.
• Cook menu items with the kitchen team to deliver dishes simultaneously at the correct time.
• Weigh and measure ingredients; use recipes to produce dishes to standard.
• Maintain knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation.
• Ensure food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet City Winery standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization; follow safe food handling practices and sanitation standards.
• Properly store and rotate leftover food; use FIFO where applicable.
• Set up, stock stations, and replenish kitchen inventory and supplies.
• Label, date, and rotate items; adhere to meaningful labeling practices.
