Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a motivated line cook to prepare menu items, maintain clean stations, and work closely with the BOH team to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a fast-paced kitchen, possess a Food Handler certification, and can multitask with strong attention to detail. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand long shifts, and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a food production facility or fast-paced kitchen.
• Food Handler certification acquired at applicant's expense.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Great communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiar with the measurement system.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the BOH team to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing them properly.
• Cross-train across roles to support growth and team success.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.
