Job summary

Wilderness Road Hospitality in New York’s Town of Stanford is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will assist the back-of-house staff by preparing ingredients and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.

In this role, you will maintain sanitation, stock stations, and communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house to deliver timely service while upholding food safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook or in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality.
• Attention to detail with a focus on presentation and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before and during service.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
• Handle food storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste.
• Support closing and cleaning procedures, including equipment sanitation and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
