Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking skills; ability to identify and use various cooking utensils and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cooks, plates, and follows portion standards for food products.
• Organizes and plans activities by reviewing daily pull and prep lists.
• Cooks and stores food at required temperature; labels, dates, and rotates products.
• Tests foods for proper cooking standards by tasting, smelling, or using measuring devices.
• Maintains safe cooking temperatures on large equipment.
• Keeps work area clean and adheres to hygiene practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing side duties per checklists.
