Job summary

Stonebridge in Addison, Texas is seeking a Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook food to our standards under the supervision of the Executive Chef, supporting breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and room service as needed.

The ideal candidate has a culinary education or hands-on kitchen experience, with strong prep skills, ability to follow recipes, and a focus on sanitation and timely service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in culinary arts or 2-year equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
• Ability to use cooking metrics and conversion methods.
• Ability to follow recipes for consistent quality.
• Experience in high-paced kitchen environments.
• Safe Serve/Food Handler certification required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for the shift before service.
• Operate cooking station efficiently and safely, following hotel standards.
• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards.
• Practice safe food handling, preparation, cooking, and storage methods.
• Produce high-quality food, with a focus on pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
• Manage guest orders in a friendly and timely manner.
• Inspect all food visually before sending it from the kitchen.
• Ensure workspace is fully stocked and follows opening and closing procedures.
• Handles and stores all food items properly, following safety standards.
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed.
• Follows written or verbal instructions from the Chef or supervisor.
