Job summary

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers - Crossroads in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an experienced Line Cook to oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate food preparation at a high standard. You will lead line stations, ensure quality, and work closely with the kitchen team to maintain service flow.

The role requires knowledge of various cooking techniques, strong time management, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge and hygiene practices.
• Efficient time management in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and presentation.
• Strong teamwork and communication with kitchen and FOH staff.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handlers Certification is required.
• Familiarity with POS software (Aloha) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock the line station before each shift.
• Utilize grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and baking techniques.
• Maintain deep menu knowledge including ingredients and portions.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Inspect items for quality and freshness; address issues with kitchen management.
• Assist in monitoring inventory and report shortages.
• Keep work area clean and organized; manage equipment and storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
