Job summary

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in Surprise, AZ is seeking a talented Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, prep ingredients, and ensure dishes meet our standards from prep to plating.

The ideal candidate has food safety knowledge, strong time management, and teamwork. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required; a valid Food Handlers Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge and hygiene procedures.
• Time management to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Team player with strong communication.
• Physical stamina to stand long hours and lift heavy items.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary education or certification a plus.
• Must have valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to learn POS software (Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity).

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: prepare and cook items per recipes and standards.
• Line Station Setup: stock and organize station before each shift.
• Cooking Techniques: grill, sauté, fry, broil, bake as needed.
• Menu Knowledge: maintain understanding of ingredients, portions, presentation.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: follow safety and cleanliness protocols.
• Order Accuracy: ensure timely and accurate dish preparation.
• Collaboration: coordinate with kitchen team during service.
• Quality Control: inspect items for quality and freshness.
• Inventory Management: assist with inventory and shortages.
• Cleanliness and Organization: keep area tidy and equipment ready.
