Job summary

Chook on Birch is seeking a Line Cook to prepare the menu to Chook's service standards. You will manage the station workflow, maintain cleanliness, and ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests. You may train across multiple stations including Hot Apps, Salads and Rotisserie.

Hours vary with full-time (30–40 hours/week) or part-time (15–29 hours/week). Hourly pay starts at $19.29/hour with a tip pool; current averages are $24–$25/hour.

Qualifications

• Availability for mornings, days, weekends and evenings with a flexible schedule.
• Respect for Chook standards of service.
• Willingness to train across multiple stations including Hot Apps, Salads and Rotisserie.

Responsibilities

• Greet staff and guests in a friendly manner.
• Prepare food to Chook standards of service.
• Report food waste to restaurant management.
• Maintain a clean workstation and restaurant while on shift.
• Perform pre-shift and end-of-shift side work with attention to detail.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to food safety regulations at all times.
• Fill in any role as needed during a shift.
• Ask questions or for help when necessary.
• Follow all safety procedures and health codes.
