Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is hiring a dedicated cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items to our recipes, set up stations, and ensure timely service while maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

The role requires 1–2 years in a food production or restaurant setting, a valid Food Handler certification, and strong teamwork and time-management skills. We offer health benefits, meal discounts, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a food production facility or fast-paced restaurant.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Great communication and teamwork.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be familiar with the measurement system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the BOH team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting them away in appropriate storage areas.
• Cross-train across various roles in the restaurant to support growth.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.
