Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare and cook menu items, set up stations, and ensure timely, high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.

You will join a collaborative BOH team, handle deliveries, and cross-train across roles with opportunities for growth. Health benefits and 401(k) are offered. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with a Food Handler certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a food production facility, fast-paced restaurant, etc.
• Food Handler certification required (local/municipal requirements)
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the BOH team to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting them away in appropriate storage areas.
• Cross-train across various roles in the restaurant to support growth in responsibilities.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.
