Job summary

Heirloom Restaurant Group is seeking a capable line cook or prep cook to join our kitchen team. You will follow recipes, prep lists, and assemble ingredients to maintain consistency and quality during service.

You will collaborate with the head chef and staff, monitor temperatures and food safety, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required to support our dining schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prep lists to prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Set up and organize workstations before and during service.
• Monitor and adjust cooking temperatures to ensure food quality.
• Adhere to portion control and presentation standards.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of orders during service.
• Assist in inventory control by monitoring and restocking ingredients as needed.
• Inspect food for quality and freshness before it is served.
