Job summary

WOB Bar & Kitchen is hiring a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team in Richmond. You will prepare items to our recipes and maintain a clean, organized workstation while upholding food safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of kitchen experience, strong teamwork, and clear communication. You’ll work in a fast-paced setting with a supportive team, and there is room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook.
• Possess strong teamwork skills.
• Work well in fast-paced setting, while maintaining a fun, high energy work environment.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire or as required by state law (complying with all local requirements)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate all items according to WOB recipes and standards.
• Follow the prep list created by Kitchen management.
• Label and stock ingredients for easy access.
• Set up workstations with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Store all food and station items properly.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure timely preparation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
