Job summary

Melrose Improv in Los Angeles is seeking experienced Line Cooks to join our high-energy kitchen. If you enjoy fast-paced teamwork and delivering quality, sanitary food, this is the place for you.

You will follow recipes, prep and plate hot and cold items, inspect kitchen equipment, store food safely, and communicate with the Kitchen Manager about stock. Evening and weekend shifts are required; ServSafe and prior restaurant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, culinary degree, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in restaurants or clubs.
• ServSafe Food Handler Card.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Working knowledge of equipment and utensils.
• Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold food items following recipes and standards.
• Inspect and clean kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Ensure proper food storage and cooking temperatures for safety.
• Communicate with Kitchen Manager about stock and 86 items.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor during shifts.
