Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated in New York, NY is seeking a Line Cook to join a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will prepare menu items from scratch, read recipes for accurate execution, and maintain strict safety standards while delivering quality dishes.

Responsibilities include prepping ingredients, plating with care, and supporting opening/closing duties. Ideal candidates bring prior restaurant experience, strongknife skills, and a teamwork mindset in a dynamic dining environment.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Station experience: Flat Top, Grill, Broil, Fry, Pasta, Sauté, Salad, Pizza, Pantry, Appetizer, Oven or Prep.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food industry standards.
• Ability to deliver accurate orders with consistency.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recipes efficiently using various cooking methods and culinary techniques.
• Read and follow recipes using accurate measurements and weights for consistent execution.
• Demonstrate strong knife skills including chopping, dicing, and slicing.
• Ensure order accuracy through mise en place, proper portioning, and cooking to correct temperatures.
• Plating presentation and garnishing to delight guests.
• Assist with opening and closing duties including station setup and breakdown, FIFO stocking, cleanliness, and organization.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination.
• Work well under pressure with speed, efficiency, and urgency.
• Support teamwork through clear, effective communication.
