Job summary

Guy Fieri's Dive & Taco Joint is seeking a Cook to join the kitchen team and support daily operations with speed and consistency. You will prepare and cook orders on a fast-paced line, maintain sanitation, and help manage inventory and shift duties as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of line cooking experience, basic recipe adherence, and strong teamwork. Some certification in food safety is preferred. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience on a fast-paced kitchen line.
• Culinary certified training preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation.
• Communication skills used with other cooks, wait staff and supervisors.
• Reading and writing abilities used for recipes, scheduling and inventory.
• Mathematical skills including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local or state agency.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
• Restock items as needed through the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed health board inspection and company requirements.
• Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including reach-ins, walk-ins and counters.
• Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• May assist by performing ware washer or other kitchen duties as needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments; may occasionally interact directly with guests.
• Perform more than one task at a time
